The Romney campaign has been asking voters "are you better off today" than when Obama took office. This question for most is an easy answer - NO! Unemployment is up, government spending is up, and more people are on government assistance. More executive orders have been given which surpasses the checks and balances system The Constitution set up. The American people have less freedom than they did when Obama took office. And yet, Obama and Biden state we are better off than when he became president. His camp continues to blame the Bush administration and has yet to propose a budget for the country, even in the midst of great economic uncertainty.
As the Democratic Convention gets into full swing, be on the look out for ways in which the dems will try to convince you that America is not as bad off...look for "new" research, statistics, and studies to support these ideas. But Americans are not stupid...we know those in our life who are unemployed or underemployed. We know we are paying more for food, gas, every day necessities. Don't let the flash of this week fool you...we know better, Mr. President!
