Justice Clarence Thomas - Amazing Man

I came across a video of an interview the Justice Thomas gave to 60 minutes awhile back.  It provides amazing insight into the history of a man that many only know through the eyes of Anita Hill.

I was fascinated to learn his history, growing up in a segregated South and facing discrimination for being black after graduating from Yale law school. He was then influenced by the conservative belief that individuals should work hard and be judged by their work and not by the color of their skin.

Really very interesting for anyone who wants to learn more about a usually secretive Justice:



Here's an unfortunate short quote from Obama where he has the gaul to question Thomas's strength as a candidate for the Court even as he was running for president as a very inexperienced candidate:



And here is why Thomas is now one of my favorite Justices on the Court.  This is only a few seconds and is a clip of the first video above where Thomas tells the Senate Judiciary Committee they are involved in a "high-tech lynching" -
