It is amazing today after Senator Santorum suspended his campaign that suddenly Romney got endorsements from those Republicans that were lurking in the corner, waiting until Romney was the "obvious" nominee. I've been saying for months now that he is the obvious nominee and it has been time for awhile for other Republicans to get behind him. But, now that Santorum has gotten out of the race, some of the GOP leadership finally sees the light.
Look, he is the nominee. I admitted that more than a month ago. I am still not happy about it. You made a choice he was the best person, most in the conservative movement disagree.
ReplyDeleteHe better make a good VP choice or the base won't work for him.
Romney has stopped pandering to the base, which I find refreshing. But that was just admitting that he can't get them onboard. His only shot at getting them willing to work for him this fall is being bold with his VP pick. I don't see Romney being that bold.
