Gingrich needs to drop out as he has absolutely no chance in winning the nomination. Rick Santorum is still well-funded and has won recent states, so he has earned the right to stay in the race. However, given the remaining primaries and Romney's likelihood to win big states like New Jersey and California, he also cannot win the nomination. CNN just announced that Santorum would have to win over 70% of the remaining delegates to win. This simply will no happen, but Santorum is likely to keep going as long as he has money.

Romney Wins Illinois
Mitt Romney has a projected win in Illinois today. This win helps to cement his lead ahead of the second place winner, Rick Santorum. The night is still early, but so far, Gingrich is pretty far behind. He will be in third or fourth place. Many are speculating whether or not he can remain in the race much longer as it was reported today that his campaign is spending more than it is taking in.
