Today the President met with Congressional leadership and afterwards, he and the GOP leadership were falling all over themselves saying how well it went, both promising to "compromise" and "work together."

Opposing same-sex marriage is not the same as being racist
This really is an alarming article. There are millions of people across the country who oppose same-sex marriage. This does NOT mean that they are hateful individuals. It is NOT the same as being racist. It does NOT mean that these individuals believe in discrimination.
However, that is how opposition to same-sex marriage is being characterized and it is shameful. These types of accusations shut down any dialogue and turn this into finger pointing.

It isn't just about Sarah Palin - it is about all conservative women
Its all over the news that PBS cut out a few lines of Tina Fey's comments made as she was accepting an award. PBS needed to make the broadcast fit within its time slot and removed part of her speech. The controversy is that the part that was cut out was yet another scathing commentary on Sarah Palin.

Huffington Post's ridiculous accusation against Bush
The Huffington Post has done it again. This site has gone from being a liberal "news" site to the laughing stock of the Internet. They actually are accusing Former President George W. Bush of plagiarizing because he quoted his own words in his new book.

George W. Bush strived to follow Christian principles
Great article on President Bush here. Some quotes from the article:
"Former president George W. Bush’s new book, Decision Points, tells the story of a faithful Christian man of discernment.
There is a sense of peace that emanates from the pages of his book and from many of the interviews he’s given in recent days. The peace that comes with ultimately leaving the judgment of history in the hands of a merciful Savior.

The whole world is telling Obama the same thing the Tea Party has been saying - STOP SPENDING
It is amazing that the President of the United States can go to the G20 summit and get the same message he has been getting here at home. The New York Times reports:
"...major disputes broke out between Washington and China, Britain, Germany and Brazil.
Each rejected core elements of Mr. Obama’s strategy of stimulating growth before focusing on deficit reduction. Several major nations continued to accuse the Federal Reserve of deliberately devaluing the dollar last week in an effort to put the costs of America’s competitive troubles on trading partners, rather than taking politically tough measures to rein in spending at home.
The result was that Mr. Obama repeatedly found himself on the defensive."

Sarah Palin visits Dallas
I just had the opportunity to hear Sarah Palin speak in person for the first time. It was an exhilarating experience. What I heard and saw was an intelligent, informed, passionate and principled person who is not afraid to stand up for what she believes.

Thank you, Rush Limbaugh
This is a great article in the American Spectator detailing out the aggressive anti-Rush strategy by Obama, the media, and the liberal leadership in Congress. Obama set forth a very aggressive strategy to polarize Rush Limbaugh thinking that by calling him the leader of the Republican Party, Americans would see him as a fringe, extreme figure and turn to liberalism. We all remember this. The past 2 years, Obama has personally attacked Rush. Before the Tea Party even rose up as a strong voice of conservative fiscal principles, Rush was using his radio show to oppose Obama's big government policies. As Obama came to power as an almost mythical figure, Rush had the guts to say Obama needed to fail - his policies would take America the wrong direction - we should do all we can to oppose this President.

The arrogance of Obama
I remember well last year when the health care bill was being heavily debated and President Obama addressed a joint session of Congress on a nationally televised speech. I watched every word of that speech, strongly opposing any national health care plan, and feeling scared about the momentum Obamacare was having. Obama got up in front of all of us,

Dems spent more than Republicans on television advertising despite Obama whining about Americans for Prosperity
As noted in my blog posting several weeks ago here, President Obama has been travelling around giving speeches about all of the "special interest" non-profit right-leaning organizations that have been funnelling money to Republican candidates (he is referring to some great non-profits such as Americans for Prosperity who are trying to counter his big-government policies). His whining about this turned this into "news" stories all over the media. The various stories "investigating" the money given to Republicans made it look like they were outspending Dems and implied a dishonest influence of the electorate.
So, come to find out, the New York Times reports today that Democrats actually outspent Republicans in television advertising. All of the stories that I saw of this never mentioned this fact. This is a great example of Obama influencing the focus of the media who follows him blindly and does not dig into the whole story.

Sarah Palin gets it right
Tomorrow Is Freedom Day! by Sarah Palin on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 7:36pm
Tomorrow is Election Day. Before you head to the polling place, take a moment to remember March 21st, when the Pelosi Congress cast its vote for Obamacare. The enduring image of that day is one of Congressional Democrats arrogantly dismissing the pleas of thousands of Americans gathered outside the Capitol Building begging them not to inflict this disastrous bill on us.
