I am so disappointed in my government today. It is hard to even imagine that such a mammoth legislation passed based on votes by elected officials who are supposed to be representing the will and protecting the freedom of the America people. I am currently watching Sean Hannity who has Sarah Palin on who is saying that this is something we should stand up for and fight to have repealed. This is the first time in my life that I have felt so discouraged about the government process that I truly feel this is irreversible. Once an entitlement program is passed, it isn't reversed. Something this destructive which has passed under the guise of "rights" which we are supposedly owed which by its implementation will only take us more into a path of socialism than any program that has ever seen the light of day in the US (ironic, isn't it?) is a true travesty and an embarrassment to what we stand for and what our forefathers fought for. They came here for religious freedom only to have their decedents vote their way into government bondage.
All I have to say is if you think you have seen Conservatives get out and fight, you haven't seen anything. I can't wait for November. However, for now, I am in mourning. A piece of our freedom died today.

Loss of Freedom
Late last night, Congress made a vote that will put us as Americans into further bondage. When Nancy Pelosi gave her final speech before the vote, she likened this healthcare reform to Medicare and Social Security...and she’s right. But the difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives don’t think that’s a good thing. Each reformation has taken more and more freedom from the people. Obama and Congress make the mistake that they are doing what Americans want, assuming that the house Republicans are just being stubborn. What they fail to recognize is that those Republicans represent Republicans. This is not a vote that represents half of the United States so to jam it through just because you can…is this what reaching across the aisle means? Obama stated, "We proved that this government of the people and by the people still works for the people." That is not what happened yesterday. Yesterday, my government failed me and placed me in further bondage. Last night, the Democrats showed the world that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
To the members of Congress who had the courage to vote no, thank you.
