Healthcare

Here's part of the problem. Conservatives and liberals fundamentally disagree as to whom the bulk of health care responsibility lies. Most liberals have been saying that responsibility lies with the government. Most conservatives want a smaller, less invasive government and do not feel comfortable relying on the government to manage their health care. What conservatives bring to the table is considered inadequate by liberals and what liberals are suggesting is too cumbersome.

And we are in the middle of a gigantic recession, which leaves many of us wondering, why are we focusing on health care? It's hard for this to be my most pressing concern when unemployment is a 10%, which does not include people who took seasonal jobs, part-time positions, or took jobs far below their typical pay grade just to survive. Is health care the most important thing to focus on right now?
