So, here we are, coming up on a VERY important election. We have had more damage in the past 2 years than all 8 years that Clinton was president. Obama has moved us so extremely towards socialism, that more than any time that most can remember in their lifetimes, Conservatives feel compelled to step forward and take on a type of activism they never have before.
But, the point that is so important is that this is not just about this election or even the next election. It is isn't just about seats. So, to the Karl Roves and others in the Republican establishment, know that the precious seats that we are counting and the number of wins expected for each chamber is not the point. This election is a battle, but the war is much bigger. We have to remember that we are at war within our own country - we are at war with ideas that are leading us into bondage and sacrificing our liberties.
If we aren't at war, and the whole point is Republican seats, then we nominate a Mike Castle to run in the general election, someone who says he is a Republican, but who actually can't make up his mind based on his voting record. No, this is not just about the election, this is about timeless ideals that this country has forgotten about, ideals that, if understood, would have prevented our current President from ever being elected. We have to bring those ideals back. We have to help the country understand how extreme our President is - not the Tea Party, the Tea Party is NOT extreme - Obama is. We have been duped by so many lies and by such an overwhelming liberal media, that as a nation, we actually walked into voting booths 2 years ago and chose this man for office. We did this to ourselves. And, when he started spending our country into further debt, weakening our national security, putting environmentalist wackos' priorities over hardworking Americans, ramming an ill-conceived and bloated health care bill through Congress despite the millions of people who opposed it - we finally started to realize what we have - a liberal. Oh, and we also remembered that we don't like liberals running the country because this is exactly what they do.
So, again, we are at war, and this election is but one battle. We have to help the country understand what has actually happened here, we forgot what we stood for, we believed the lies, and we voted this socialist into office. And, as much as I want seats in Congress, sending a Republican who is "electable" to run against a Democrat whose voting records would end up being all but identical, is no win at all.
So, the task to the fabulous Tea Party and all others who have taken up the torch is to remember that this is about ideology, we need our country to return in ideology, and then the seats and votes will come. That's why the message itself is so very important. The words we say matter. The principles we stand for matter, and our gumption to pronounce as often as possible what we know to be true - matters. Without it, we will never win at this socio-political war of ideologies that we are in.
This posting was inspired by a great article at the American Spectator that can be found here.
What baffles me is what a bunch of parrots people are. Obama says Fox News is biased, so all liberals start saying the same thing. It shocks me that they can't recognize that ALL news media is bias. It's a blind following to Obama that totally scares me.
